The Volcanoes Educator Guide is suitable for primary grades K-8 and supports national Common Core math standards and the Next Generation Science Standards. It was created by Discovery Place Education Studio, North Carolina, together with SK Films and can be used to accompany the IMAX® film Volcanoes or as a stand-alone education tool.

This resource includes six lesson plans for teachers, each containing a number of fun and enlightening activities. Tectonic plates, safety around volcanoes and volcanic soil will all be covered through hands-on demonstrations, as well as written and spoken work involving real scientific data. Students will learn about the scientific method, how geologists predict eruptions and what we can expect from them.
